Description: The observatory in South West Ardougne has been ransacked by a family of nearby goblins. Can you help the professors to rebuild it? Use your skills at crafting to make the various parts, and fight your way through the cavern under the observatory. Use the telescope and the stars hold a secret for you.

Start Point: Observatory reception, South West of Ardougne, West across the river from the gnome maze, just next to the small goblin town.

To Start: Speak to the Observatory Professor.

Talk to the professor in the square building north of the observatory. He explains that the pesky goblins next door have broken his telescope and he needs parts to fix it. He suggests talking to his assistant, but if you have the items needed already you don't have to talk to the assistant as long.

After giving all the items to to the professor, he will say that he needs a Lens mould to craft the glass. Go find it in the dungeon, located under the observatory. To access the dungeon, head over to the goblin village to the east of the house. Enter the house, with the stairs, on the west side of the village. Go down the stairs and then find the chest what holds the Goblin kitchen key (see map above). The chest location is different for every player. When you get there, open the chest and then search it. If you open the wrong chest, you will meet a poison spider, which poisons you.

Head back towards the area you entered from, but stop in the north section of the dungeon. You should be able to find an area with a closed gate that is guarded by a Sleeping guard. Prod the guard to wake him up and he will attack you. NOTE: When the guard is asleep, he is level 1. However after you prod him awake, he will become a level 42 Goblin guard.

Open the gate and go in quickly and inspect the Goblin stove to discover the Lens mould. Then go out of the kitchen and head back east until you return to the stairs that you entered from.

Go back to the observatory house, and talk to the professor. The professor will give you an excuse that he can't make the Lens because his crafting level isn't high enough. Use your superior skills and craft it for him. Then talk to him again.

Now go back into the dungeon to meet the professor in the observatory. To do so, go back to the dungeon area. When you go below run past the kitchen, and then head southeast. You should run into the set of stairs that lead up in the south side of the dungeon. Go up the stairs and you will be in the Observatory.

View the telescope to see a constellation. Your reward depends on what you see and it is RANDOM. Talk to the professor who will ask you to identify the constellation. If you guess wrong he will tell you to go downstairs and look at the charts on the walls of the first floor. The charts have a list of constellations, clicking on the name will show you the star pattern. Talk to the professor again and tell him which constellation you saw. Talk to the professor to finish the quest. He will repay you with an uncut sapphire and another reward depending on the constellation you saw (See table below).

When you have finished speaking to the professor, go back down the stairs and back through the dungeon. When you find your way out, you can get a free Jug of wine from the assistant by speaking with him. Next visit the Zamorak worship site to the northeast and as a special bonus to those who have completed the quest you get an Unholy mould (Zamorak symbol) from the Spirit of Scorpius.
